The panel met on April 03, 2004, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the presenters of the award, Wemhöner in Herford.

By agreement, the panel arrived at a joint decision without electing a Chairman.

The organisation, supervision and minutes to arrive at a decision were taken care of by the nonvoting panel members Professor Dipl.-Ing. Martin Stosch and Dipl.-Ing. Thorsten Ober (University of Applied Science Lippe and Höxter).

From the 41 entries (from 7 countries) which met the formal criteria, the panel unanimously selected 10 outstanding projects.

Five entries share the places one to three by unanimous consent of the panel (two first places, one second place and three third places). Five more projects received honourable awards (no ranking).

The prize money totalling 25,000 Euro was awarded as follows to the individual places and awards:

1st place:	each	5.000,- EUR (10.000,- EUR)
2nd place:		4.000,- EUR
3rd place:	each	3.000,- EUR (6.000,- EUR)
Honourable awards:	each	1.000,- EUR (5.000,- EUR)
